All Newcomers (people attending a WCA competition for the first time) are requested to get their valid ID proofs with Date of Birth Mentioned on it.
For the Returning Participants: Please claim your WCA ID if you have not claimed it yet. A guide is provided below.
First time participants
Step 1 - Sign-up on WCA. You must mention your full name without any abbreviations while creating your WCA profile.
Step 2 - Register for the competition

Returning participants
Step 1 - Sign-in using your email that you used for your previous competitions
Step 2 - Register for the competition.

Notes:
1. You can't change the events once the registration period closes. There will be no refunds.
2. It is mandatory to pay the registration fees AND register on WCA to complete the full registration process.
3. Wait for 48 hours to get your registration confirmed after payment has been done.
4. The competitor limit is 75 people. This is mainly due to logistic issues. We do not currently have the manpower to provide an enjoyable experience for more competitiors. So if you want to ensure your participation in this comp kinidly follow all the steps in the registration process as quickly as possible.
5. Your registration is only confirmed once your name shows up on the competitor list.
6. On the Spot registration will be available at the competition if we are unable to reach 75 competitors at a base fee of ₹700

Closest Airport
The closest airport to IIT Kharagpur is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata. It is 140km away from the college.
How to reach the college from the airport:
Taxi Services: Approx 3hrs
Trains: You can travel from the airport to any railway station nearby and take a train to Hijli station or Kharagpur station (Approx 3-4hrs)
Closest Railway Stations
The closest railway stations are Kharagpur Station and Hijli Station. Kharagpur Railway station is 4km away from the college and you can get totos from the station for around 100-200 Rs. Hijli Station borders the college boundary and is about 1km away from the main gate. You can walk from the station to the campus gate.

Q: Do I need to bring my own cube?
A: Absolutely! Competitors are responsible for their own hardware, so don't forget to bring your trusty cube along.
Q: What's the typical age range of competitors?
A: All ages are welcome! Cubing knows no age limits!
Q: Where can I find the results?
A: Within a week after the competition concludes, results will be posted on the WCA page. For up-to-date information during the competition, visit live.worldcubeassociation.org. Results are manually entered, so please be patient if you don't see yours immediately. We will notify once results are posted through email.
Q: Are there different age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together, fostering a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.
Q: Can spectators attend without paying?
A: Absolutely! Spectators can witness the excitement at no cost.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
