Registration Information:
Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. Competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.
How to Register Online
The competitor limit for this competition is 70.
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration cost of $20.00. (The registration cost is the same, regardless of how many events are selected.)
Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
PLEASE NOTE: If you paid but don't see your name on the registration list within 48 hours of payment (assuming 70 competitors aren't on the competitor list already), please email the organizers. Despite the use of the Stripe payment system, organizers still have to manually move competitors to the approved competitor list following payment.
How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe.
Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."
Withdrawing Registration
Registering and paying demonstrates your commitment to attend the competition. However, if you have registered and are no longer able to attend, please contact us via email.
Refunds
If you withdraw your registration before registration closes, you are eligible for a refund of half your registration cost. This means that if you decide to withdraw before then, you are eligible for a refund of $10.00. After this date, no refund requests will be honored.
There will be no refunds issued after this date. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.
Any requested changes to registration before registration closes will be honored. Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list. If you believe you paid and your name isn't showing up, please contact us so that we can assist you.
Competitors MUST register and pay online in order to compete. No at-the-door registrations or payments will be accepted.
Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. Once the 70th competitor has paid, we will not close registration until we have a waitlist of 15 competitors (not including the 70th who will be/are listed on the competitors tab). To secure a place on the waitlist once 70 competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. If you see that you cannot pay to be on the waitlist (registration will have closed), it means we have reached the waitlist threshold (15) and have therefore closed registration.
Once the deadline to request a refund has passed, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be refunded in full.

Stationary Competing
This competition will be using a fixed-seating setup for competing – this is different from how many other competitions in the U.S. operate. With fixed seating, competitors stay at their stations for the duration of their attempts – there will be no waiting area. The general process is as follows:
1. When the competitor’s group is called, the competitor goes up to that stage’s scorecard table and collects their scorecard.
2. Competitor goes to any open solving station with their scorecard and puzzle.
3. If there are no open stations, please wait a couple of minutes or find a Delegate. A station may open up as competitors from the previous group finish.
4. Competitor makes sure they have the correctly numbered cover at their station. Competitor puts their puzzle and their scorecard in the numbered cube cover and holds it for a “running judge” to pick up. Competitor will stay in this spot throughout the entire round.
5. A running judge takes the cube to the scramblers.
6. The running judge drops off the puzzle and takes the next available scrambled puzzle to the corresponding competitor/station based on the number on the cube cover and proceeds to judge their attempt.
NOTE: The running judge may not judge the same competitor each time.
7. After each attempt, the running judge packs the solved cube and competitor scorecard in the cube cover and brings this to the scramblers.
8. Repeat this process until all competitors in the group have completed all their attempts.
As a reminder to all competitors: you are not allowed to watch your neighboring competitors complete their solves, as this raises concerns about gaining additional information about the scrambles. Competitors who are suspected of attempting to gain an advantage may be subject to disqualification.
We will be demonstrating the Running Judges system during the new-competitor tutorial before the competition begins (8:30). Throughout the competition, delegates will be stationed near the scorecard pick-up table to address any questions you may have.
For First-Time Competitors
All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a basic overview of the rules.
In addition, please read this tutorial document before coming to the competition.
If you still have questions after checking these out, thats okay! We will be holding a new competitor tutorial the morning of the competition where you can ask any questions you may have. You can also feel free to email the organizers at any time before the competition (or find us on the day of) to ask your questions!
For All Competitors
When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have judging/scrambling assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look like the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.
To be announced!
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
Advancement Condition
The number of competitors shown as advancing to the next round is the planned maximum. The actual number may be lower if there are fewer competitors than expected, or if there are ties at the boundary.
