Special Notice
FMC World 2026 - Guangzhou will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 8:00 to 12:00 in the Meeting Room of Conghua Argyle Hotel (No. 514 Guangcong South Road), Guangzhou. This event is a simultaneous FMC competition for fewest moves enthusiasts worldwide. In addition to the official global top three awards, the Guangzhou Site will present separate awards to its top three competitors.

June 21, 2026 coincides with the summer solstice; at noon, the sun will directly shine on the Tropic of Cancer (23°26′N). After the morning fewest moves competition finishes, we cordially invite all competitors to gather at the nearby Guangzhou Tropic of Cancer Park. An award ceremony will be held in front of the Tropic of Cancer Memorial Tower, where competitors will jointly stack a tower column with Rubik's Cubes, witnessing the remarkable phenomenon of "an upright pole casting no shadow."

Registration process:
First, complete registration via the event page above (WCA account login required). Then, pay the registration fee using Alipay to the Guangzhou Cubing account (gzcubeteam@gmail.com). Upon successful payment, registration will be confirmed. For any questions regarding registration or payment, please contact the organizer via email (same address as above), or search for the WeChat public account "动物魔友会Animal Cubing" and reach out to customer service within the public account.

About the Awards

1) This competition only has the big cube puzzles speed-solving event. In addition to the awards for the top three in each event, awards will also be given to the first place in the competition in the sum of rankings of all events. If there is a tie in the total ranking, the better ranking of 4x4x4 Cube will be given priority based on most registration.
2) Competitors must accept any certificates, awards, or prizes in person. Competitors that do not appear in person will forfeit any prizes.
3) The main event of this event is the 4x4x4 Cube, and the first place in this event will be announced as the champion of this competition.

Accompanying Persons and Spectators

To ensure a quiet and orderly competition environment, each competitor may bring a maximum of 1 accompanying person for free admission. Any additional accompanying persons must purchase an admission ticket on-site at the price of ¥50 per person per day. All accompanying persons must register together with the contestant.

There is a competitor limit of 140 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is ¥150 (Chinese Renminbi Yuan).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

All registration must be done online via cubingchina.com.
For Chinese domestic participants, a completed registration is online registration plus prepaid registration fee.
For foreign participants, if you can't pay the fee online via Alipay, please contact the delegate by E-mail right after you finish the onlineregistration. Then we will make a reservation for you by manually accepting your registration and you can pay the fee by cash at the venue.

A waiting list will not be in use.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.

Advancement Condition

The number of competitors shown as advancing to the next round is the planned maximum. The actual number may be lower if there are fewer competitors than expected, or if there are ties at the boundary.
