Venue

This competition takes place in the Event Room at the Red Top Mountain State Park visitor center (50 Lodge Road SE, Acworth, GA 30102); the Event Room is located on the right end of the building. Driving is the most viable way to reach the venue due to lack of transit connections in the vicinity, and there is a $5/vehicle fee to enter Red Top Mountain State Park. (Residents of Georgia can check out an entrance pass from their local library for free.)

Dining

There are a handful of fast food restaurants at the LakePoint Sports complex, 10-15 minutes from the venue. You may want to pack a lunch to avoid having to leave the park during the lunch break.

Lodging

Red Top Mountain State Park hosts a variety of cottages and campsites within the park; the nearest traditional hotels are 10-15 minutes away at the LakePoint Sports complex.

Intercity Travel

Atlanta has the following options for intercity arrivals, in addition to driving. However, please note that this area is not sufficiently connected to Atlanta via transit to forgo driving entirely, so some form of local transportation like a rental car or a rideshare is necessary to reach the venue.

  • The Atlanta airport is the busiest in the world, with nonstop service to destinations across the entire country and around the globe.
  • The Atlanta train station is served by Amtrak's Crescent route, connecting Atlanta with other major cities across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic between New York and New Orleans.
  • The Atlanta bus station is served by intercity Greyhound buses, connecting Atlanta with other major cities across the Eastern United States.

If you are interested in sponsoring this competition or partnering with Southeast Cubing, please contact Southeast Cubing to discuss your ideas further.
