Welcome to Dare to DR Rizal 2025!

Dare to DR Rizal 2025 is an official WCA competition featuring a wide variety of events, including 3x3, 5x5, 7x7, Pyraminx, Skewb, 4x4 Blindfolded, 3x3 Multi-Blind, and highlights 3x3 Fewest Moves as the main event.

This competition also aims to encourage more cubers to explore and learn Domino Reduction (DR)—the most advanced method currently used in Fewest Moves solving.

  • 3x3 Multi-Blind is limited to 25 competitors, and it's on a first-come and first-served basis.
  • 2-Person Mini Guilford and Master Magic will also be held as unofficial events.

The base registration fee for this competition is ₱500 (Philippine Peso).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until by contacting the organization team.
On the spot registrations will be accepted if there are remaining spots available, with a base registration fee of ₱600 (Philippine Peso).

Yuji Yoshida won with a mean of 28.33 moves in the 3x3x3 Fewest Moves event. Hsiang-Cheng Kan (闞祥誠) finished second (29.67) and Glen Goh Wee Zhuan (吴洧全) finished third (39.67).

If your WCA registration has been accepted, you may complete the registration form to participate in the unofficial events. This form also includes partner selection for the 2-Person Mini Guilford.

By registering, you agree to follow the guidelines at cubingcontests.com and assist with judging or scrambling if assigned.

All participants are required to follow the registration process as outlined. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your registration.

🌍 Foreign Competitor Requirement

Foreign competitors may choose to pay their registration fee at the venue. However, they are still required to follow the registration steps and submit valid proof of travel as stated below.
All foreign competitors must submit proof of travel (valid plane ticket or booking confirmation) on or before September 21 2025.

Failure to comply with the registration process may lead to your registration being rejected.

🚶 Walk-in Participants

Walk-in participants will be accommodated only if slots are still available on the day of the competition.
The registration fee for walk-in participants is ₱600, payable at the venue.

From Marikina, Quiapo and Taguig commuters


a. Marikina, Quiapo and Taguig Areas have jeepneeys going to Pasig Market (Palengke) directly. Ride the jeep and tell the driver that you are going to Jollibee Palengke (a well known landmark of Pasig Palengke)




b. From there, go down from your jeep and go to tricycle terminal just the right side of Jollibee and look for yellow tricycle terminal (SPRGREYTODA). Tell the driver that you are going to Greenwoods Area 3 Phase 7 court. The fare is around P17 from the terminal to venue.


From Cubao Commuters


a. Go to the old Araneta Center Bus Terminal and look for a white minibus with a Cubao - Rosario (Sta. Lucia Pasig) Route. At the end of the route, you should be at Puregold Rosario-Pasig (shown below).




b. From there, ride another jeep/minibus going to Pasig Palengke then follow the step b instructions of "From Marikina, Quiapo, and Taguig commuters" .

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
