The first three seasons of the League were unofficial competitions held eight times a year since 2021. Over three years, 207 participants from 39 countries took part in these events.

This year, each League tour is an official WCA competition. Season IV consists of five official WCA competitions (called Tours), scheduled every two-three months throughout 2025. The final, 5th competition will serve as both the Cyprus Championship 2025 and the League’s grand finale.

League Features:
1. Participants are divided into age categories.
2. Scoring system.
3. Points can be exchanged for prizes in the League store.

Age Categories:
• Primary League: Ages 13–29
• Middle League: Ages 11–12
• Junior League: Ages 10 and under
• Senior League: Ages 30+

Scoring System
Each League has its own standings, calculated for both tours and the entire season. The score for each participant is based on their average result in each event, calculated using the formula:

POINTS = (CYPRUS AVERAGE NATIONAL RECORD / AVERAGE RESULT) × 100

Example:
Participant A achieves an average result of 5.50 seconds in the 2x2x2 event. The Cyprus national record average is 4.50 seconds.
Points = 4.50 / 5.50 * 100 = 82 points

The total standings for each competition are determined by summing up the points from all events. The overall season standings are calculated based on the total points earned across all tours.

Tour and season leaderboards can be found on the Cyprus Cubing website.

Prizes
Participants can exchange their accumulated points for prizes in the League store. Prizes cannot be purchased with money. Points redeemed for prizes do not affect League standings (they are not deducted from the leaderboard).

Prize exchanges will be available at the end of each League tour, but it’s better to redeem your points early! 😊

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
