Rules

For First-Time Competitors

Please be familiarized with the WCA Regulations, read the first two tutorials listed on this page, and watch this helpful video about competing and judging. We will go over the most important rules again in the newcomers' tutorial at 9:30 AM (CST).

For All Competitors

All competitors are required to judge in at least one event they are competing in.

Cube Mosaic

We will be creating a huge cube mosaic during the competition! Detailed instructions for its creation will be given at the start of the comp.

Travel

The Kincely Conference Center is the location of the event. It is tucked back into the corner of Campbell Lane and Nashville Road/31W. Parking is indicated in red. The parking lot is spacious and contains ample room for all vehicles. There is no parking fee.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
