Information

There will be an entry fee of ₹300/- per day at the main gate of the college only for the people accompanying the participant.

Entry is free for the participants

The people accompanying the participants can participate in any other events in the fest which include talks by scientists, workshops and competitions with cash prizes. Please note that this entry fee of ₹300/- is only for the people accompanying the participants and not for those who will take part in the cubing event.

All the participants are requested to volunteer in the competition and every participant (except the New comers) will be assigned to a particular event that they have to Judge (or) Scramble in which they are participating.
All the staff/volunteering assignments will be decided by the organising team and participants will be informed of the same 2 days prior to the event, we will ensure that your volunteering does not affect your events.

Only Participants are allowed inside the solving area/room.
Parents, relatives and friends will strictly not be allowed inside of the solving area.
There will be a seprate waiting area/room for all accompanying guests.

The base registration fee for this competition is ₹900 (Indian Rupee).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.

Spectators can attend paying an entry fee of ₹300 (Indian Rupee).

Returning participants

Only once your payment is confirmed, your name will appear on the accepted competitors list in 1-2 days.
Those who have registered on WCA but have failed to make payment will be considered as not registered and will not be allowed to participate.

Notes :
1. It is mandatory to both pay the registration fees & register on WCA to complete the full registration process.
2. Wait for 48 hours to get your registration confirmed after payment has been done.
3. Those who have registered on WCA but have failed to make payment or those those who just make the payment and do not register on WCA will be considered as NOT REGISTERED and will not be allowed to participate.

For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to https://live.worldcubeassociation.org to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

The fee of this competition is Rs. 900 irrespective of the number of events.

Paid accomodation will be available in the college(BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus hostel common rooms) itself. There will be a counter inside the campus dedicated to this and accomodation can be booked at the day of the event. Accomodation can be availed from the 7th (Friday) .
There are four resorts nearby namely Domus, celebrity(3 star) and alankrita(4 star), Leonia Resort (4star)

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
