Welcome to sixth iteration of Cube Ala-eh! This competition features the events 3x3, 2x2, 4x4, 5x5, 3x3 One-handed, Megaminx, and Clock with 3x3 as the main event.
We encourage reading through all information tabs to be properly informed of additional information and requirements needed for registration and competing.
This competition is hosted by Batangas SpeedCubers, a private non-profit organization established with the goal of organizing fun and competitive speedcubing experiences in line with the PCA and WCA vision.

There is a competitor limit of 60 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is ₱450 (Philippine Peso).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.

On the spot registrations will be accepted with a base registration fee of ₱500 (Philippine Peso).

The BASE registration fee for this competition is ₱450 (Philippine Peso), inclusive of 3 events of your choice. IMPORTANT: Please send your proof of payments to Batangas SpeedCubers or to Nicole Jnus Macalalad for confirmation. Failing to do so may void your registration.
Refund Policy: Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances including, but not limited to, (1) deleting an event; (2) backing out of the competition; and (3) paying after slots have been filled or after registration closes. However, a 48-hour grace period will be given. Payments made within 48 hours after slots are filled (or registration closes) will be refunded. Otherwise, the no refund policy applies.

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

FAQs
Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.
Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!
Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to https://live.worldcubeassociation.org to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.
Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.
Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.
Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

FIRST TIME COMPETITORS
All newcomers are required to read the WCA First-time Competitor Guide document to familiarize yourself of the WCA regulations used to govern WCA-sanctioned competitions. Additionally, please watch this competitor tutorial by WCA Senior Delegate Kit Clement of the USA.
ALL COMPETITORS
Please make sure to bring your Vaccination Card in case that the venue requires you to present it.
When you arrive at the competition venue, kindly follow the following steps:
1. Head to the registration table and sign on the competitor masterlist.
2. Get your Certificate of Participation, Event Schedule and grouping/officiating Team Assignment. You will be assigned to officiate at some point during the competition so be sure to take note of your assignement to avoid being disqualified. As per WCA Regulation 1e2, all competitors must be ready to officiate when called or assigned to. Declining such assignment merits disqualification at the discretion of the WCA Delegate.
3. Go inside the venue hall and wait for the competition to start.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Is there an age limit to compete?
A: None! Everyone is welcome to compete regardless of age.
Q: Should I bring my own timer?
A: No need to! Just bring your cube and yourself, as competitors are expected to use their own puzzles in competition.
Q: What is the time limit?
A: The time limit for most speedsolving events is at most ten (10) minutes, and at least 1 minute and 30 seconds (1:30.00) for faster events. You may refer to the events tab regarding specific cutoff times and time limits for all events.
Q: When does registration end?
A: Registration ends on February 5, 2025 at 12:00 PM, or when the forty (40) competitor limit is reached. Waitlisted competitors may be admitted until February 9, 2025 at 12:00 PM GMT+8.
Q: Do you accept walk-in registrations?
A: Walk-in registrations are accepted with an increased base registration fee of PHP 500 good for 3 events. You may also add events until competition day.
Q: Do you accept refunds?
A: Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstance, including when removing or deleting event from registration. However, registration payments paid within a grace period of 48 HOURS after registration slots are filled may be refunded, else the NO-REFUND policy applies henceforth.

For commuters from Manila, you have three options for getting to the venue: Cubao, PITX, or Buendia/Taft.
From Cubao Gateway Mall
If you are coming from Gateway Mall, walk towards the ALPS EDSA Bus Terminal.
You can take a bus with the Lipa City signage. Then inform that you are going to "SM LIPA City". If the signage says Batangas City, ask the driver if they can drop you off at Lipa City. Then, inform them that you are going to Tambo Exit or Double B Poker Club.
If you are at SM LIPA City" Walk towards the entrance of SM Lipa City, then take a jeepney with a Batangas City or San Jose signage. When paying, tell the driver Double B Poker Club as your destination.
From PITX
Ask the guard or the ticket booth which gate goes to Lipa City only, not Lipa City via Tanauan
Then tell the conductor that your destination is SM Lipa City.
Walk towards the entrance of SM Lipa City, then take a jeepney with a Batangas City or San Jose signage. When paying, tell the driver Double B Poker Club as your destination.
You can choose between Double B Poker Club or the Startollway Bridge as your landmark to know when you are close to the venue.
From BUENDIA/TAFT
At DLTB Bus Co., make sure to take a bus going to Lipa City, not Batangas City. Just let the conductor know that you're headed to SM Lipa City.
Walk towards the entrance of SM Lipa City, then take a jeepney with a Batangas City or San Jose signage. When paying, tell the driver Double B Poker Club as your destination.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
