Information

Participants must bring their own puzzles.
Make sure to be available at the venue at least 15 minutes before your event starts. Late entries won't be allowed to participate.
Attend the new participants tutorial session if you're new to WCA competitions or unfamiliar with its rules.
Bring a Government ID card for verification if it's your first time participating in a WCA competition.
Participants are expected to volunteer and will be assigned with roles as judges, scramblers, or runners, with the exception of newcomers.

There is a competitor limit of 50 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is ₹500 (Indian Rupee).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until by contacting the organization team.
On the spot registrations will be accepted if there are remaining spots available, with a base registration fee of ₹600 (Indian Rupee).
Spectators are only permitted as companions of competitors.
Competitors may bring at most 2 guests.

Notes:

3. If you are a first time participant, please bring a valid goverment ID proof (Aadhaar, Passport etc) for verification.

Note:- Registration/creating an account on WCA account doesn't means you have registered for the competition,You have to separatly Register for the competition on WCA website and then pay the Registration Fees on the mentioned link to get your Competition Registration Confirmed.

For official event winners , certificates, medals and merchandise prizes will be provided. (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

For non-official event winners only certificates and medals will be provided.

*Special prizes *-

Under-12 and Under-10 Age Category awards 1st, 2nd & 3rd based on 1st round of 3x3. Age verification via Govt. ID is must for new participants.

Cube Riddle Solving side activity - A cubing releated riddle will be provided. Participants may write their answers with their names on a paper(provided) and put it in the given box, submission time will start from 8 AM till 15 min prior to-anouncement by the organisers for the same. If more than 1 people get the answer right,the person with the better Average time in, 3x3 1st round will get the prize as main way , or else random lottery will be done.! (By lottery , SCB, not in any means want to promote gambling) medal and certificate.

Additionally another *cube riddle cards * may be provided to all participants, where everyone have to do collaboration to solve the riddle. No prizes will be provided for this, as its a all participants event.

Fastest New-comer (BASED ON 3X3 1ST ROUND RESULTS). medal and certificate.

Fastest female participant (BASED ON 3X3 1ST ROUND RESULTS). if none of the female participant, participated in 3x3 cube - its upto the orgaiser to provide the prize, whether to give or not to any one.

Youngest participants (ANYONE WHO WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SHOW THEIR Govt. I'D PROOF--(IF HE/SHE IS 1ST TIME PARTICIPANTS), WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THIS SECTION). In case of same age- participants, the one with the best 3x3 results of Round-1, will be provided with the prizes.

To promote and encourage local cubers, speedcubing barpeta will provide, Best of Barpeta - Medals and certificates for 3x3 (BASED ON 3X3 1st ROUND RESULTS)- 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be provided along with certificates.Anyone failing to provide Recidency proof via a valid govt id , will not be considered.

Being the venue of Barpeta Cubing Open 2026 ,Best of Howly National Science Academy prize and certficates will be provied to the participants from HNSA school- (1st, 2nd, 3rd).( Any one failing to show ID card proof as HNSA's student validity, will be eliminated from this group)

To encourage prticipants to be more envolved in all aspects of a Speedcubing Competetion, A BEST SPRIT CUBER certificate will be given.
(The winner will be chosen by the organiser based upon their involvement of the participant, on the day of competetion !)

If you have stackmat or other timers, practice at home with that.
You need to bring a valid government id card to prove your name, age, and other details.
You have to bring your own puzzles and cubes to participate.
Be respecteful to your fellow cubing mates in the competition.
Participate in volunteering and judging, it will be really fun experience.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.

Advancement Condition

The number of competitors shown as advancing to the next round is the planned maximum. The actual number may be lower if there are fewer competitors than expected, or if there are ties at the boundary.
