People with more experience, who are familiar with the regulations, are encouraged to assist with judging and scrambling. Any help will be appreciated.
All competitors are encouraged to attend the judging tutorial before the competition. If you are a parent and would like to be entertained for the duration of the day, judging would be a great option for you!
For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!
We wanted to let you know this event is fun for cubers of any age and experience level. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...
First, please be familiar with the WCA Regulations, found here:
Of course, those regulations contain a lot of legalese, so we have a video made specifically for new cubers, just to show them the basics of competing. This video will explain most of what any cuber competing for the first time will need to know.
If you have any questions after this video, we will be having a new competitor tutorial, Saturday morning of the competition. That would be the perfect time to ask those questions and clear up any confusion.
If you are stoked to compete and ready to sign up, head over to the registration tab, click register, and fill out the information it asks for. This will help you get set up the WCA's system and one step closer to your first official solve!
Also, when you arrive, be sure to check which group you are in. This can be found printed on a piece of paper near the entrance.
To register, simply click on the register button near the top or left of the page and follow the instructions there. Then send $25 USD using the instructions below. Simple right?
Your registration is not complete until you have paid. If payment is not recieved within one week, your registration may be removed to make room for other competitors.
Payments should be made to firstname.lastname@example.org on PayPal by using this link PayPal.Me/DBCubing
Please include which person(s) you are paying for in the PayPal comments. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about payment.
NO walk-in competitors. All competitors must register through the WCA website.
Once your registration has been accepted, you may cancel by emailing us to free up space for other competitiors. No refunds will be given.
