Information

As per BC's recently announced Proof of Vaccination Requirement, all competitors and their (single) guest must provide proof of having received at least one dose of vaccination in order to enter the venue. As such, please do not register unless you will have had at least one dose of a vaccine before the competition date, as otherwise you will not be allowed to enter the venue nor compete. We will send registered competitors further details in an email when the government releases more details.

Cubing solo over the pandemic has made us only too glad to host an actual, face to face, long awaited gathering for local and perhaps not so local cubers...so welcome to BC Cubing Comeback 2021-either A or B!

We the organizers of Fraser Valley Open 2018 and 2019 are thrilled to invite you this time to the heart of Coquitlam for a fun and safe return to cubing, competing and most of all connecting together!

Please review ALL of the tabs listed on this website. This is a priority. Even if you are a seasoned competitor, COVID-19 has created some new shifts and there are things to be particularly attentive to.

Note that this is a one of a pair of twin competitions. We have not had twin competitions in BC before. Please see the Twin Competition tab for more information.

A small portion of each registration fee will be in support of the BC Fires Appeal with the Canadian Red Cross. Each dollar we donate will be matched by both the provincial and federal governments. Donations will be used for immediate and ongoing relief efforts as well as for long-term recovery and preparedness. Feel free to check out the Red Cross page for more information.

Take clear note especially of the Health and Safety Tab and our full WCA-compliant Risk Mitigation Plan.

Note: Spectators (max 1 per competitor) can attend for free. Those aged 18+ are invited to consider not attending with a guest to help our venue capacity numbers stay well within WCA recommendations. If you're not a competitor, or the single guest of a competitor, then we ask you NOT to come.

Note: In the unlikely event that the COVID-19 situation concerningly worsens, the WCA may step in with the additional ask that all attendees show 1) a negative test prior to venue entry or 2) that they have been fully vaccinated for 2 weeks prior. The WCA reserves the right in the event of a clear 4th wave in BC to cancel the competition outright. Significant updates such as these will be posted here on the website and emailed to registered competitors.
