¿Tengo que traer mi propio cubo para competir o me pasaran uno en la competencia?

Cada participante debe traer su propio cubo para competir. Puede tomar prestado el cubo de otro competidor, siempre y cuando se encuentren en grupos distintos, es decir, no pueden turnarse durante una ronda.

¿Tengo que armar el cubo solo una vez?

Tendrás 5 intentos en cada ronda. De los cuales tu resultado será el promedio de ellos tras eliminar el mejor y el peor tiempo.

¿Existe un límite de edad para competir?

No existe un límite de edad para competir, todas las personas son bienvenidas.

¿Existe una separación por edad o sexo?

No existe una separación ni por edad, ni por sexo. Todas las personas compiten en el mismo grupo.

¿Dónde puedo ver los resultados?

Los resultados generales son publicados en la WCA algunos días tras terminada la competencia.

¿Por qué no aparezco en la lista de registrados todavía?

Esto puede deberse principalmente a dos razones:

No te has registrado en la página de la WCA.
Has tenido problemas con el pago de tu inscripción.
Si pagaste, debes enviar un correo al correo del organizador con el comprobante del pago.
Si tienes alguna dificultad para pagar, por favor contáctate con nosotros al mismo correo.

¿Qué significa Bo1, Bo2, Mo3 y Ao5?

Bo1/Bo2: Significan el mejor de 1 o 2 intentos respectivamente.
Mo3: Promedio de 3 tiempos.
Ao5: Promedio de los tiempos tras eliminar el mejor y el peor tiempo de 5 intentos.

Todos los eventos, con excepción de 6x6x6 y 7x7x7, son categorías cuyos resultados son Average of 5 (Ao5).
Para 6x6x6 y 7x7x7 solo se tienen tres intentos de los cuales no se elimina ninguno y se calcula el promedio (Mo3).

¿Qué significa que las rondas tengan corte?

La primera ronda de cada categoría con excepción de la primera ronda de 3x3 son rondas combinadas (combined rounds), esto significa que existe un corte o cutoff.
¿Cómo funciona?
En las rondas Ao5, cada competidor tiene 2 intentos iniciales, si en cualquiera de los dos intentos logra un tiempo menor al corte o cutoff designado, entonces puede proseguir con los 3 intentos restantes.
Por ejemplo, 2x2x2 tiene un corte de 8 segundos.
Caso 1: El competidor logra un tiempo de 6 segundos en su primer intento. Automáticamente puede proseguir con los 4 intentos restantes.
Caso 2: El competidor logra un tiempo de 10 segundos en su primer intento y 6 segundos en su segundo intento. Entonces puede proseguir con los 3 intentos restantes.
Caso 3: El competidor logra un tiempo de 10 segundos en su primer intento y 10 segundos en su segundo intento. Entonces NO puede proseguir con los 3 intentos restantes.

¿Qué significa el límite?

Cada categoría tiene un límite de tiempo. Por ejemplo, para 3x3x3 el límite es 2 minutos.
Si te demoras más de 2 minutos en armar el cubo, tras pasado el tiempo, te detendremos y tu solve quedará como DNF (Did Not Finish).

Do I need to bring my own cube to compete, or will someone lend me one at the competition?

Each participant must bring their own cube to compete. You can borrow another competitor's cube, as long as you are in different groups; that is, you cannot take turns during a round.

Do I only have to solve the cube once?

You will have 5 attempts in each round. Your score will be the average of these attempts after discarding your best and worst times.

Is there an age limit to compete?

There is no age limit to compete; everyone is welcome.

Is there a separation by age or gender?

There is no separation by age or gender. Everyone competes in the same group.

Where can I see the results?

The overall results are published on the WCA website a few days after the competition ends.

Why am I not appearing on the registered list yet?

This could be due to two main reasons:

You haven't registered on the WCA website.
You've had problems with your registration payment.

If you paid, you must send an email to the organizer email with proof of payment.

If you have any difficulty paying, please contact us at the same email address.

What do Bo1, Bo2, Mo3, and Ao5 mean?

Bo1/Bo2: These mean the best of 1 or 2 attempts, respectively.
Mo3: Average of 3 times.
Ao5: Average of the times after removing the best and worst times from 5 attempts.

All events, except for 6x6x6 and 7x7x7, are categories where the results are Average of 5 (Ao5). For 6x6x6 and 7x7x7, there are only three attempts, none of which are eliminated, and the average (Mo3) is calculated.

What does it mean that the rounds have a cutoff?

The first round of each category, with the exception of the first 3x3 round, consists of combined rounds. This means there is a cutoff.

How does it work?
In Ao5 rounds, each competitor has two initial attempts. If they achieve a time below the designated cutoff on either attempt, they can proceed with the remaining three attempts.

For example, 2x2x2 has an 8-second cutoff.

Case 1: The competitor achieves a time of 6 seconds on their first attempt. They can automatically proceed with the remaining four attempts.

Case 2: The competitor achieves a time of 10 seconds on their first attempt and 6 seconds on their second attempt. They can then proceed with the remaining three attempts.

Case 3: The competitor achieves a time of 10 seconds on their first attempt and 10 seconds on their second attempt. They cannot proceed with the remaining three attempts.

What does the time limit mean?

Each category has a time limit. For example, for 3x3x3, the limit is 2 minutes.
If you take more than 2 minutes to solve the cube, after the time is up, we will stop you and your solve will be marked as DNF (Did Not Finish).

➔Puedes tomar las micros 503 o 510 (valor 500 pesos) o también puedes tomar un colectivo que diga PLACERES (Todos los coletivos que digan placeres sirven, valor 1000 pesos)
➔Bajarse en Avenida Matta con calle Hamburgo

Desde el terminal de Viña del Mar

➔Saliendo del terminal de Viña del Mar, debes caminar hasta la calle Arlegui 839

➔En ese paradero puedes tomar la micro 410 (Valor 600 pesos) O tomar todo colectivo que diga Recreo (Valor 1200 pesos).
➔Luego debes bajar en la calle Hamburgo con Rio Choapa
