Registration Process

Before You Register
All prospective registrants need a WCA account. New competitors can create their own WCA account by clicking here and entering the required information.

How to Register Online
Prospective competitors register by:
1. Signing into their WCA account;
2. Clicking "Register" on the left side of this webpage, selecting the events they would like to compete in, and submitting their registration;
3. Paying the registration fee of $18. (The registration fee is the same regardless of how many events are selected.) Your registration is not complete until you have paid the registration fee.
Note: You are only allowed to bring up to 2 guests with you to this competition. If you list more than 2 guests in your registration, it will not be approved without contacting the organizers.

The competitor limit for this competition is 60. The list of approved competitors can be found by clicking "Competitors" on the left side of this webpage. If there are already 60 competitors on that list, it means the competition is full, and any future registrants will be placed on the waitlist.

Your registration is not complete until your name shows up on the list.

How to Pay for Registration Online
Payment is processed through Stripe. Click on the "Register" tab on the left side of the webpage to register and pay all in one place! You can start the payment process by clicking "Pay your fees with card."

Refunds
Approved competitors who cancel their registration before Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST are eligible for a refund for 75% of their registration cost. After this date, no refund requests will be honored. Attempting to file a chargeback for the registration fee will lead to being blacklisted from future WCA events.

Waitlist Information
We will be keeping a waitlist for this competition. To secure a place on the waitlist once competitors have paid, simply pay the registration fee. If a competitor emails us to drop out before Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST, you will be notified if you are the next competitor on the waitlist. After that deadline, all remaining competitors on the waitlist will be emailed letting them know they did not get off the waitlist and will be fully refunded.

Who can compete?
Everyone is welcome to compete. All you need to do is register for the event.

What are competitions like?
Competitions are a ton of fun! Competitions are a great opportuity to meet new cubers, make new friends, and be able to compete and get official times recognized by the World Cube Association. Competitions can be as social of an event as you would like them to be. The communitiy is extremely welcoming and you can always sit at any table and strike up a conversation with another cuber. They are great places to try new cubes as well, just in case you are looking to get a new main! Once you walk into the venue, you will most likely see your nametag at a check-in table. If you are a first-timer, you will be asked to verify your information on your registration (name, DOB, country). Once you grab your nametag, go ahead and find a seat and start cubing! There will be a competitor/judge tutorial, which can be found on the schedule. After that, we will begin with the first event and will be calling events up by group. Your group numbers can be found on the back of your nametag. After you compete in an event, you will most likely also be expected to help judge another group (typically the following group). Competitions are very self-sufficient, so we rely heavily on the assitance from other cubers and parents like you! Your assisgned helping groups should also be listed on the back of your nametag. Once you are done competing in your event, you can go back to your table and continnue to socialize! To see if you made it to the next round of an event, you can check your results.

Is there a competitor limit?
Yes, it is 60 competitors. You just need to make sure to register before the registration deadline.

How do I register?
Click on the registration tab on the competition website and follow the instructions.

Where can I find my WCA ID?
If you have never competed before, you do not have a WCA ID. You will automatically be assigned one when the results for your first competition are posted. If you have competed before, you can find your WCA ID and profile by searching for yourself on the WCA website.

Do spectators have to pay to attend?
Nope! Spectators may attend free of charge. However we will have a limit of how many spectators/guests may be in the room at one time.

This is my first competition. What do I need to know?
There is a lot of good information available in the "Competitor Information - MUST READ" tab.

I can only attend for part of the competition. Can I do my solves early?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep the competition running smoothly, we have to stay on schedule.

When do I need to show up?
Look at the schedule on the competition website. You must be present and ready to compete during all events that you are registered for. The schedule is subject to change. We recommend coming about 15-30 minutes before the start of your first event.

Where can I see the results for the competition?
During the competition, live results will be posted on WCA Live. These results are unofficial. A week or so after the competition, official results will be posted on the WCA website.

For First-Time Competitors

All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing.

If this is your first competition, when you arrive, find a delegate or other organization team member to check in
New competitors must bring some form of ID to show at the competition to confirm the name, the country they wish to compete for, and the date of birth registered with. The usual items of ID that people bring are Passports, Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, etc. As long as it has your name, date of birth, and country, then it will be fine.

Finally, please be familiar with how to judge at a cubing competition. All competitors will be required to judge in at least one of the events they are competing in. This video gives a basic overview of how to judge, and does include more up-to-date information.

For All Competitors

Before you arrive, you will recieve an email with competition information including your groups for the competition. This could be displayed in one of two ways, either as a pdf or as a website link to competitiongroups.com.
If you recieve a pdf, it will contain multiple competitor cards. Find the card with your name on it, and it will contain personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event, along with judging/scrambling assignments. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look similar to the following:

If you recieve a website link to competitiongroups.com, click on the link (or head to the Groups tab on this website) and login to your WCA account. Then, find the competition and scroll to your name. Your list of groups will look similar to the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

Venue:

Parking:
There are 22 parking spots on the east side and 36 spots on the south side of the building. Do not park on the grass.

Hotels:
Choices for hotels in Alliance include the Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, and Hampton Inn & Suites.

Food:
McDonald's and KFC are nearest to the venue. There are other nearby options such as Sheetz, Taco Bell, and Arby's. Lunch is not provided at the competition and competitiors will have to plan accordingly.

Magic and Master Magic will be held during lunch.

This competition will also hold unofficial events. The results will be recorded through Cubing Contests, and will then be added to the rankings.
