Welcome to Alexandria Spring 2026! This competition takes place in Friday the 10th of April, with many side events and some NxNs.
Please go through the Events, Schedule, First-time competitors, and Volunteers tabs carefully to ensure you know what to expect.

There is a competitor limit of 50 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is ج.م400 (Egyptian Pound).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 90% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until by contacting the organization team.
On the spot registrations will be accepted if there are remaining spots available, with a base registration fee of ج.م500 (Egyptian Pound).

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Please note that there are FOUR steps you need to take to be entered into this competition:

1) The competitor must Login or Create a WCA Account if they do not already have one (or their parent/guardian must create one for them).
2) The competitor must register for the competition using their WCA account, specifying which events they want to participate in.
3) The competitor can pay the entry fee using Instapay to this number +201024867035

4) in either case, the competitor must send proof of the transaction, to the number they transferred to.

If you haven't registered for the competition, paid the registration fee and sent proof, you will not be able to compete.

Note: for foreigners/competitiors living abroad, if you can't pay using the provided payment methods, please email us to confirm your participation, and then pay on the day of the competition.

After registering for the competition on the WCA website, your registration will be pending. Once the payment has been confirmed, your registration will be approved. (Allow up to 48 hours for the organizers to confirm the payment.)

🇬🇧First-Time Competitors

If this is your first WCA competition, welcome! We’ve collected the most important information to be aware of in this tab. We recommend reading this before competing for the first time.

All new competitors must bring a valid ID or passport to confirm their personal details before a WCA-ID can be claimed on the website. Registration of new competitors is from 9:00 to 9:30 on both days.

There’s a Competitor Tutorial at 9:30 on both days, where we will go through the competition procedure as well as the most important rules to be aware of. We highly recommend being present for this. In addition we would like you to watch this playlist for a walkthrough of the competing procedure.

All competitors must be familiar with the WCA Regulations. A simplified version of the most important regulations can be found in this document.

The schedule might change throughout the day. We will start new events as soon as previous rounds have concluded. We therefore recommend all competitors to be present at least 15 minutes before they’re scheduled to compete.

We’re using WCA Live for scoretaking. Here you can find your placement, and you’re able to check whether you proceed to the next round or not. Note that the amount of competitors that proceed to subsequent are subject to change as some competitors decide not to compete. Check if your rank is highlighted in dark green or if there are still competitors without entered times at the bottom of the list to make sure whether you proceed or not.

إذا كانت هذه أول مشاركة لكم في مسابقة ، فمرحباً بكم! جمعنا لكم أهم المعلومات التي يجب معرفتها في هذا القسم. نوصي بقراءتها قبل المشاركة لأول مرة.

🇬🇧volunteers

If you are competing in any event, you are expected to help with volunteering, as either a judge or a runner. These tasks are very easy and help us run the competition smoothly, so your help is much appreciated! If you are a spectator (such as a parent or sibling) that is not competing, you can still help with volunteering! The more help, the better the competition runs. Rules for judging and running will be explained as part of the New Competitor Tutorial. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or want to volunteer as a dedicated staff member for the competition.

🇪🇬المتطوعين

إذا كنتَ تُشارك في أي فعالية، فمن المتوقع منك التطوع في بعض المهام. هذه المهام سهلة للغاية وتُساعدنا على إدارة المسابقة بسلاسة، لذا نُقدّر مساعدتك كثيرًا! إذا كنتَ مُشاهدًا (كأحد الوالدين أو الأشقاء) غير مُشارك في البطولة، فلا يزال بإمكانك التطوع! كلما زادت المساعدة، كانت المسابقة أفضل. سيتم شرح قواعد التحكيم والتطوع ضمن الشرح الخاص بالمُتسابقين الجدد. لا تتردد في التواصل معنا إذا كانت لديك أي أسئلة أو ترغب في التطوع كعضو في فريق التنظيم.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
