Different color centers

Let me first say that i have not been to a competition yet. My new hybrid cube (different brand core and cubbies) has a white center and black cubbies. Is this allowed in competitions? I couldn't specifically find anything in article 3 that says not. I just want to check to see if their allowed for when i do go to a competition Thank You EDIT: in stead of creating another topic ill just post my question here: if your cube is tiled does the logo have to be a tile also?

Yes, you can. Technically that cube is illegal but I think that for regular solving it is OK - but you won't be allowed to use it in BLD. (This is in reply to the question in the "EDIT" part of the message)

Are different color cores ok then?

Your title says "Different color cores" and your message talks about a different color center. Cores and centers are two different things. No one sees ths core (unless you pop). Different color centers...I think we would need clarification from Ron on this. I guess if all the centers were the same color, you might be fine, but again, I'll just defer to Ron. As for the logo. First, a logo is completely optional. You don't need a logo. But if you do have a logo, the pieces must be indistinguishable from one another (3j), so they must all be tiles or all be stickers.

Your not talking about having say a greenish center on the blue side?

[quote="Roboguy777":23kywvpa]what makes blind so different? is it the non tiled logo that makes it not ok for BLD solves? Are different color cores ok then?[/quote:23kywvpa] The non tile center logo makes you able to feel where a side is. In regular speedsolving this is not much of an issue as you are unlikely to take advantage from it. In blindsolving however, if you loose track of the cube's orientation then you could use the different center to your advantage. Yes, your cube can have a different color core, if by core you mean the six armed spider in the center of the cube. It doesn't violate the rules as it does not help distinguish one (similar) piece from another. For example, the rule is ment to ban cubes that have the cross edges in a different color plastic as that would help recognition of these pieces.
