Hawaii

Hi, Can there be a competition in hawaii? I can't make one myself because I don't have the time or money due to school, instruments, and others. Also, it's quite expensive traveling to the mainland or phillipines, and it could be the first time to have an opening here. You could hold it in Honolulu since its the town with maybe the most people, which could attract more possible cubers to join. PS I'm a little new to the competition stuff so I could have missed some things.

Hey there!, My friend will be in Hawaii for good by next year and he is a speedcuber here in the Philippines. He has helped me in most competition I organized here. He can give you a hand in organizing a competition. We already discussed this but the problem snapping at our faces is who will be the delegate? He is already aware of this so when he arrive there I will give you his contact. Only thing you need is a good start and the rest is pleasure. 8)

If someone can provide me with somewhere to stay for like a week, I can do this. Flights to Hawai'i are pretty cheap right now so I kind of want to go...especially if this happens the week before US Nationals 2009.

...but this is assuming a lot. Do you know of at least 12 competitors? There has to be enough people around to actually hold a competition for.

I only now know 3 other people that might join, one of them I found on youtube  . Also, I'm just a kid, I can't do much. @ unscarred, cool but I'm asking someone else to make it, I only got time to attend one not make.

You can't have a competition with less than 12 competitors.

Hello, I know this post is VERY old, but I just found it today. I am moving to Hawaii (Oahu) this December 2010. I have already spoken to Tyson about becoming a delegate and starting a Hawaii cubing organizaion. If any of you are still interested, please contact me as I'd like to start holding competitions or at least meetings soon after I arrive. christopher@themilburns.com Thank you, look forward to meeting you all.
