Incident description and resolution:

A score sheet was found missing both signatures. Video evidence confirmed the attempt, and the competitor acknowledged it, but the judge could not be located. Initially, organizers mistakenly believed the competitor was a newcomer and provisionally allowed the result, uncertain if A7c8 permitted video evidence to replace the judge’s signature. After realizing the competitor was not a newcomer, they considered changing the result to DNF and sought WRC confirmation.

The WRC clarified that if this were to involve an inexperienced competitor, Regulation A7c8 allows a judge to add their signature later, but only if they can still be contacted. It is not permitted for anyone to sign on behalf of the judge. In this incident, the fact that the judge was unable to be located meant that the signature could not be added anymore. Furthermore, the competitor in question turned out not to be a newcomer after all, meaning that A7c8 did not apply anymore. All of this resulted in the WRC deciding that this result should be changed to a DNF.
