Talking in competition area

Hi, I've been to only one competition so far. So please excuse me if I make any mistakes. A friend of me encouraged me to bring this topic up. In the competition I noticed that the single rounds in the events where kind of mixed up: while I was waiting for the first scramble, others already did three solves. While sitting there I heard that a competitor was talking about the scrambles and telling another person the best way to solve. Of course, it is only a small minority who try to cheat, but obviously there are people who do so. I also talked to other cubers after the competition and they told me they had noticed this. A way to reduce this would be to organize the scrambling a bit more and not to give out scrambled cubes for the next round until all competitors have done the current scramble. Of course this would also give some people the chance to talk about their scrambles, but the time would be more limited. Thank you.

7h3) Competitors in the competitors area must not communicate to each other about the scrambled positions of the puzzles for the round in progress. The issue with holding everyone back is that if you have a competitor that takes 5 minutes and others that take 30 seconds, stuff is going to get out of order. Plus, I will usually try to clear my volunteers first so that they're free to judge/scramble.

Discussing the scrambles of puzzles in a round that has not been completed isn't permitted. I know people don't always remember that, but those who are organising, or the delegate, should remind people in the competitors area really.

As Bryan said, it's not practical to wait until everyone has finished a scramble before moving on to the next one. What I usually do is have runners and put the scrambled cubes in a line, starting with the ones who have less solves done. So for example, if there's a cube waiting on the line, and that competitor already has 4 solves, when a 2nd cube, from a competitor who did just 2 solves, is scrambled, it will be moved up front. And yeah, people shouldn't talk about the scrambles at all, but that's quite hard to make 100% sure.
