[2010 Ideas] Multi-BLD minimum requirement

Addendum to 9f16. 9f16) For the Rubik's Cube: Multiple Blindfolded event the order in the results is based on number of puzzles solved minus the number of puzzles not solved (higher is better). If the result is lower than 0 [color=#4040FF:z9l4jaev]or the number of solved cubes is 1 or less[/color:z9l4jaev], the solve is disqualified.

Tottaly agreed. This prevents people from having 20 minutes to try just one cube and still get a valid result.

I would just simplify the regulation such that <=0 (rather than <0) is a DNF.

I never understood how 1/2 is a score anyway... suppose you got one and you failed one: score = 1, but you failed one so: 1 - 1 = 0 = DNF?

I didn't express myself correctly there, long story short, I think a 1 score should also be a DNF.

I agree, simply because the event is "Multiple blindfolded". If you solve 1 cube, you did not solve multiple cubes.

I agree with the minimum 2 cubes solved idea. Multiple blindfold should be about solving more cubes blindfolded not just one. The fastest 1/2 attempt right now is 1:38 by Lucas Garron and i highly doubt that he memorized two cubes and tried to solve them both. Clearly it was a single blind attempt which doesnt fit to the category.

I agree with a 2 cube solved minimum. Discarding all results <=0 would end up discarding results like 2/4 and 3/6, which are (at least in my opinion) much more valid than 1/2.

The main problem is people using the full 20 minutes to attempt just one cube, which kills the purpose of "multiple cubes blindfolded". If you ask for 10 cubes and try just 5, you still solved multiple. And you better get those 5 right, otherwise it will be a DNF. 5/10 won't be ranked pretty high anyway, because the time will be slow.
