Suggestion about "magic"

I think there should be another catecorie with the magic. The magic should be scrambled in some shape. why because: 1. Its not just a trick you learn and perform. 2. you need to learn more about the puzzle. Greets Alexander Ooms

Some commands will be nice on this topic why you vote yes or no. greets

Commands or comments? :D Here's why I voted "no": - How do you write down a scramble algorithm for the magic? - Might be a fair comparison among participants of the same contest, but not between separate contests with different scrambles. For sure there'd be very lucky and very unlucky cases. Global records would be pretty meaningless.

You know that you can make many diffrent shapes with the magic. How do you write them down.I would say like jaap scherphuis has done on his page. Pictures how the moves must be done to get a shape. You have lucky/unlucky cases this is not true. whats lucky you get a shape you know and unlucky a shape you dont know.If thats so you did not put any time to understand the puzzle and what you can do with it and how you can make shapes. example for the cube: when knowing only 4 PLL's and you get one of the ones you dont know is this unlucky? any "comments"

Well, there are only 96 possible flat shapes (32 rectangle, 64 "V"). Some (many) of these are very trivial (requiring only one "move"). It would not take long before the "scramble" would be something easy like that, in which that record would probably never be beaten...much similar to the 2-cube, how there are only 162 LL cases, so it won't before somebody gets a LL skip and the WR is a 2.xx lucky solve. ;) It wouldn't be "fair" to compare times between separate scrambles for the Magic because there are certainly easier cases than others.

I meant it like Bob said, i.e. "lucky" not meaning that I know the shape, but "lucky" meaning that the solution is short. I know there's some nice theory behind this puzzle but that won't help you if your state just takes a lot of moves and my state takes 3 (e.g. fish and luckily getting the correct rectangle pattern).
