[quote="Ojas Nimaje":wsop6w9e]wca should pay for transport because there are no world championship in india[/quote:wsop6w9e] Where is this money coming from to pay thousands of cubers transportation to go to competitions? There are a few Hawaiian cubers, you would have to pay hundreds of US dollars for them to take them to an airport, fly to California, provide a hotel, travel to the competition and pay for food, and fly them back to Hawaii, that could be even more than the cost to even run the competition in California.

Ojas, your question makes absolutely no sense. 1. If the WCA was to pay for the travel cost of thousands of people, it would firstly be practically impossible and secondly I think you don't know that WCA earns very little. Most people doing stuff for cubing are doing it voluntarily and for the love of the sport. 2. There are WCA competitions held regularly in India, and I being an Indian do go to them whenever they happen in my locality/state. As for having the World Championship in India, India is not ready for it. India does have a lot of cubers, but the quality of the competitions is no way near World Championship standards. Further, the sport is not given enough recognition in India. However we do have the Indian National Championship, which happened recently in Chennai.
