Are the stickerless cubes allowed by WCA in 2015?

Hi cubers and a happy new year! I saw disscutions that in 2015, WCA will aprove solving stickerless cubes during the competitions. Is that true? Will the regulations be changed? :D

I think so... But I'm not sure.

Yes, the plan is to allow stickerless cubes. The tricky part is how to allow stickerless cubes without (unintentionally) allowing unreasonable variants. See the following post on speedsolving.com for more details: https://www.speedsolving.com/forum/show ... post991953

I think section 3d makes it ok to use stickerless cubes. it says "Puzzles must have coloured parts, which must be one of the following: coloured stickers, coloured tiles, [u:248zpy7w][b:248zpy7w]coloured plastic[/b:248zpy7w][/u:248zpy7w], or painted/printed colours."

[quote="Ethan_D":2llcz6tg]I think section 3d makes it ok to use stickerless cubes. it says "Puzzles must have coloured parts, which must be one of the following: coloured stickers, coloured tiles, [u:2llcz6tg][b:2llcz6tg]coloured plastic[/b:2llcz6tg][/u:2llcz6tg], or painted/printed colours."[/quote:2llcz6tg] Just a bit farther down, Regulation 3h2 makes it clear that the cubes that people usually call "stickerless" are not okay (yet): [url:2llcz6tg]https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/regulations/#3h2[/url:2llcz6tg]
