When TNoodle-WCA-0.15.0 was released, we announced that TNoodle-WCA-0.14.0 would briefly remain an officially permitted version. Since almost 2 weeks has passed, TNoodle-WCA-0.14.0 is now officially retired, leaving TNoodle-WCA-0.15.0 as the only official scramble program.

Please see last week's TNoodle-WCA-0.15.0 announcement for details.

Please remember that official competitions must use a current version of the official scramble program. This is always available from:

The WCA Software Team (WST) is looking for new members! The applications are open to everyone; it’s not a requirement to hold a current position in the WCA to be considered. The WST plays a central role on the WCA developing, scaling, and maintaining the software solutions that help the organization handle the continuous community growth. Some examples of such software solutions are:

  • A website
  • TNoodle
  • Workbook Assistant

All of the above are open-sourced and can be found on the WCA’s GitHub. The technologies used on these projects is very varied: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL, Chef, React, Java, etc, so developers of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply!

Interested applicants should reach out to Alberto Pérez de Rada Fiol (WST’s Project Manager) at afiol@worldcubeassociation.org with an introduction of themselves that includes their experience as developers. Adding activities done for the WCA and goals as a team member is a plus.
