The WCA Marketing Team (WMT) is seeking members in order to accomplish its mission.
The applications are open to everyone; it’s not a requirement to hold a current position in the WCA to be considered. As the selection process of a Leader for the WMT has not been successful, the selection process will be conducted by the WCA Board of Directors as allowed per Section 5.3 of the WCA Bylaws.
What does the WMT do?
The WMT is an Advisory Committee of the WCA which is responsible for developing and managing the WCA Brand, seeking sponsorships, supporting the distribution of WCA Competition Gear, and marketing WCA Merchandise.
The qualities expected of candidates are:
- Marketing background
- Social media knowledge
- Fluent English
- Communication skills
The rights and duties of the WMT can be seen in WCA Motion 10.2018.1.
The application period is open for candidates to submit their candidacy document from now until September 9th, 2018, 23:59 UTC privately to the WCA Board (email@example.com).
Candidacy documents must be in PDF format, and must include:
- A brief personal introduction
- Summary of activities done for the WCA
- Ambitions as a member of the WCA Marketing Team
Upon reception it will be confirmed if documents are in good order or if there are deficiencies.
After the application period, the WCA Board will make their selections and the new members will be announced once candidates have accepted the positions.
