However, a competitor who registers and doesn't show up at the competition will have to pay a compensation of 5.- CHF (or 5 €) at his next competition in Switzerland.

LEQ 2018 is a speedcubing competition organised by ASE, with the help of Swisscubing, and delegated by Reto Bubendorf.

With this competition we hope to attract a lot of new local cubers and give them a chance complete the qualifications for WCA Euro 2018.
We also warmly invite competitors who come from abroad to give this event an exciting international mixture.
Results of the competition will be added to the official WCA World Rankings.
At the start of the competition, all competitors can familiarize with the official timing equipment : the Stackmat timer.
Any puzzle brand may be used during the competition, as long as it complies with the WCA regulations.

LEQ 2018 ist eine Speedcubing Competition organisiert von ASE, mit der Hilfe von Swisscubing, und delegiert von Reto Bubendorf.
Für Fragen oder Information stehen wir unter ase@epfl.ch zur Verfügung.
Wir hoffen mit dieser Competition viele neue Speedcuber an eine Competition zu locken und Ihnen die Qualifikationslimite für die WCA Euro 2018 zu ermöglichen.
Herzlich eingeladen sind auch Teilnehmer aus dem Ausland um diesem Event einen Internationalen Touch zu geben.
Die Resultate dieser Competition werden zu den offiziellen WCA World Rankings hinzugefügt.
Zu Beginn der Competition können sich alle Teilnehmer mit den Stackmats Timers(Zeitmess-Equipment) vertraut machen.

Con questa competizione speriamo di attrarre molti cubers locali e dare loro la possibilità di gareggiare.
Invitiamo calorosamente anche partecipanti che vengono dall'estero di modo da alzare il livello della competizione.
I risultati di questa competizione verranno aggiuntr alle classifiche ufficiali della WCA.
All'inizio della competizioni i nuovi partecipanti potranno famigliarizzare con lo strumento di cronometraggio: il timer Stackmat.
Tutte le marche di cubi possono essere utilizzate se rispettano i parametri del regolamento WCA.

Écublens is located in south-western Switzerland, near Lausanne.
Travel by car:
10 minutes from Lausanne, 1 hour from Geneva and Bern, 2 hours from Basel, Zurich and Lyon.
Parking slots are found under the "Rolex Learning Center".
Travel by public transport:
The EPFL has a stop on the metro line 1, it is also accessible using bus.
From Lausanne : you should change metro line at "Flon".
From Renens : the metro goes directly to the EPFL.
From Morges : the bus goes directly to the EPFL.
Écublens se situe au sud-ouest de la Suisse, le long de l'arc lémanique et voisinant directement Lausanne.
En voiture :
10 minutes depuis Lausanne, 1 heure depuis Genève et Berne, 2 heures depuis Bâle, Zurich et Lyon.
Un parking souterrain se situe sous le "Rolex Learning Center".
En transports publics:
L'EPFL se trouve sur la ligne de métro 1 sur l'arrêt qui porte le même nom, plusieurs bus s'arrêtent également sur le campus.
Depuis Lausanne : changer du métro 2 au 1 à l'arrêt "Flon".
Depuis Renens : métro 1 direct vers l'EPFL.
Depuis Morges : bus direct pour EPFL.
Écublens befindet sich in Südwest-Schweiz, in unmittelbarer Nähe von Lausanne.
Mit dem Auto :
10 Minuten von Lausanne, eine Stunde von Genf und Bern, zwei Stunden von Basel, Zurich und Lyon.
Beim "Rolex Learning Center" befindet sich ein unterirdisches Parkhaus.
Mit dem Zug :
Die EPFL liegt bei der Metro Linie 1, die Haltestelle hat denselben Namen wie die Schule, es halten auch mehrere Busse auf dem Universitätsgelände.
Von Lausanne : bei der Haltestelle "Flon" von der Linie 2 auf 1 umsteigen.
von Renens : Metro 1 führt direkt zur EPFL.
Von Morges : direkter Bus zur EPFL.
Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
