- This is a qualifying competition for CubingUSA National Championship 2019 and WCA World Championship 2019. You may still attend this competition even if you will not be attending any of the above mentioned competitions.
- There is no 3x3 at this competition.
- The registration fee of $20.00 will be paid in cash on the day of the competition. Please do not register if you will not be attending.
- Please do not register for blindfolded events if you cannot solve cubes blindfolded.
- If you choose to compete in Clock, please make sure you have a Clock that is competition legal. Regulations regarding Clock can be found here.

In order to make this event run as smooth as possible, please familiarize yourself with the WCA Regulations.
If this is your first time competing, it may be intimidating when you first walk in. To mitigate this, please watch this video that explains the basics of a cubing competition.
Here are some frequently asked questions:
Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: Yes, and they must comply with the WCA Regulations.
Q: Can I add or remove an event from my registration?
A: Not a problem. Send us a message through the contact link, and we will gladly change the events for which you are signed up.
Q: What are cutoffs?
A: Cutoffs are times that competitors must reach within their first two solves. We use them because we would like to expedite the competition as much as possible while still being fair.
Q: Can I come spectate?
A: Yes! Any friends, family members, or anyone else can spectate during the event for FREE! We encourage you to bring guests to show them the world of cubing.
Q: Do I have to be present for events I'm not competing in?
A: No. You only have to be at the venue for the events in which you are competing. Click the schedule tab for more information. With that said, we recommend that you arrive early to give ample time to practice before competing.
Q: How do I find results?
A: Live results will be available on cubecomps.com during the competition. This is also where you will find information if you moved onto the 2nd round of any event. Once finalized, the results are posted on the WCA page several days after the competition finishes.
Q: What is there to do when I'm not competing?
A: There are numerous tables where people can practice and hang out with other cubers.
Q: Are there age divisions?
A: All competitors compete in the same group.
During the competition, competitors will be assigned staff positions. Staff positions include scrambling, judging, and running. You can learn more about these staff positions by watching this video that explains the basics of a cubing competition.
Parking
The parking lot is very large and is attached to the school. The entrance is at the signal at Imperial Hwy & Avenida Bernardo.
Finding the Venue
The competition will take place in the cafeteria, which is located off the south side of the parking lot. There will be signs for additional help.

Time limit
If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).
Cutoff
The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
Format
The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
