Information

All the participants are requested to volunteer in the competition and every participant (except newcomers) will be assigned to a particular event they have to either judge, scramble, etc for the group/event.

COVID-19 Specific Information:
* Wearing masks, Sanitizing hands frequently and following all local goverment orders is mandatory while attending the competition.

Only Participants are allowed inside the solving area. Parents, relatives and friends will strictly not be allowed inside of the solving area.

The base registration fee for this competition is ₹1,000 (Indian Rupee).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee.

No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

Fees Structure:
A base fee of Rs 1000 irrespective of number of events.

Please do the payment of each participant separately.

1) It is mandatory to pay the registration fees and also register on WCA to complete the full registration process.
2) It may take a day or 2 for your name to reflect on competitors list on WCA.

The organizing team needs a few cubers (preferably who have attended competitions previously) as volunteers for Delhi Big Cube Open 2022.
Volunteers are required to help organizing team with the competition activities including judging, scrambling, running etc. for the event.

For those of you new to WCA Competitions, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to https://live.worldcubeassociation.org/ to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we request all of you to keep the number of guests to a minimum or not bring anyone along.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
