  • Make sure you will be available at the venue at least 15 minutes before your event starts. You won't be allowed to participate in an event if you reach late.
  • If you're participating in a WCA competition for first time or not aware of competition rules, make sure that you attend the tutorial session.
  • If you're participating in a WCA competition for first time, please bring your aadhaar card as well.

There is a competitor limit of 60 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is ₹150 (Indian Rupee).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
On the spot registrations will be accepted with a base registration fee of ₹250 (Indian Rupee).

So if you are participating in 3 events, fees will be 200 + (2x50) = 300

Spot Registration
Note: For spot registration, you will be allowed to register only for those events which takes place at least 30 minutes after you register. So, if you want to do spot registration for an event, you should register for it at least 30 minutes before the start of the event.
Base fee (for one event): 250 INR
Each event: 50 INR
So if you are participating in 3 events, fees will be 250 + (2x50) = 250

Steps to complete online registration
Step 1 - Register here by selecting the events you want to participate in.
Step 2 - Then send the fees for the number of events you have taken part in to 7766813921 on PayTM.
Step 3 - Wait upto 48 hours for your registration to be confirmed. Once your registration is confirmed, you will get a confirmation mail and your name will appear in the list of registered competitors.

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to Cubecomps.com to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

There have been 2 extra events added to the competition to make it more enjoyable. Registering for them doesn't require you to pay any extra fees and you can still win the prizes if you podium.
The two events are:-

1. 3x3x3 Scrambling

a. Judge has a paper with a "clean" side and with side with scramble.

b. Judge puts paper scramble-side up and starts the stopwatch.

c. Competitor has 15 seconds to inspect scramble.

d. He / she can touch this paper and cube.
e. Competitor starts timer and scrambles the puzzle.

f. After competitor stops timer, the judge must verify that the cube is scrambled correctly.

g. If one or more moves are required to bring the cube to its scrambled state, the result of the attempt is a DNF.

2. 3x3x3 Rescramble

a. Two cubes given: one scrambled, one solved.

  1. Goal: match the scramble on solved cube.

  2. Competitor can touch both cubes. Can't turn scrambled.

Ola, uber and rapido offer bike transport which is affordable and is the most convenient form of transport but still heres a detailed guide

People visiting Ranchi-

By Train- You would arrive at Ranchi Railway Station, and so there are many lodges or hotels that would accomodate you at very low rates. These can be found very close to stations with an appropriate walking distance. Alternatively you can book a room on Oyo or other apps such as Make My Trip or Goibibo.

By Airplane - Birsa Munda Airport is 8 Km away from the venue, it is highly recommended that you book Ola, uber or rapido to avoid any hassle

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
