Information

This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors must be familiar with the WCA regulations. If you are new to competing, please refer to the Competitor Information tab.

There is a competitor limit of 110 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is $10 (United States Dollar).
If your registration is cancelled before you will be refunded 75% of your registration fee.
Registrants on the waiting list may be accepted onto the competitor list until .
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
No on the spot registrations will be accepted.
Any spectator can attend for free.

If you are a member of the Lamberton Middle School Cubing Club, you can get a discounted registration for $3. You will need to pay the full $10 registration and include your school email address in your registration comments, and we will refund you the $7 difference.

Please keep in mind that registrations are approved manually after payment, so your registration may not be approved immediately.
Registration is not complete until payment of the registration fee is made.
All competitiors must read the "Competitor Information" tab.
Any requested changes to registration before registration closes will be honored.

WAITLIST INFORMATION:
If the competitor limit of 110 has been reached, you can still register and pay the registration fee to secure a spot on the waitlist. During the registration period, any competitor can cancel their registration by emailing the organization team and allow the first person on the waitlist to take their spot. If you find that you cannot make it to the competition after registering, please contact us so that we can maximize attendance.
All registrants still on the waitlist after the registration period ends will have their registrations deleted, and will be fully refunded.

For First-Time Competitors

All newcomers must be familiar with the WCA Regulations before competing. This video gives a basic overview of the rules.

In addition, please read this document before coming to the competition.

For All Competitors

When you arrive, you will receive a card with personalized information detailing your events and what group you will be competing in for each event. In addition, you will also have judging/scrambling assignments on your card. Every competitor is expected to help out during the event(s) they are registered for. The card will look like the following:

If you do not arrive to help during your scheduled event, and there are not enough staff members, we reserve the right to disqualify you from competing.

All competitors (newcomers included!) will be assigned groups to compete in and help us run the competition. These are available here and will be available on your group card at the competition.

Helpful information on all aspects of competing and helping with your assigned tasks is available on the Competitor Information tab. We will also review this information and answer any questions you might have in our new competitor tutorial.

During the competition, results will be uploaded to WCA Live for you to view.

  • Masks, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes will be available upon request.
  • Attendees should maintain a minimum of 3ft from others whenever possible.

  • If you have symptoms related to COVID-19 such as cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc. do not attend this competition.

  • If you have had a positive COVID-19 test or prolonged exposure to someone with the virus within 14 days prior to the competition, do not attend.

  • By registering for this competition, you agree that you understand all the information presented in this tab, will abide by all the COVID-19 restrictions placed on this competition, and acknowledge the risk of contracting COVID-19 or any other disease in attending an event of this scale.

Only one door will be open for our use in the front of the school next to the wooden benches outside. There will be signs showing you where to go.

Driving: The venue is most accessible by car. It is located directly off of I-81 and I-76.

Parking: There are two parking lots available for our use in front of and along the side of the school.

Hotels: There are several hotel options in the area, with the closest being the Sleep Inn located less than 1 mile away.

Dining: There are ample dining options within a short drive or directly across the street in the shopping center.

  • There will be a concession stand in the cafeteria selling various snack and lunch options. Proceeds from this will go towards the Lamberton Middle School Cubing club and Quiz Bowl team.

  • You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages into the cafeteria, but please do not bring them into the gym!

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).
A cumulative time limit may be enforced (see Regulation A1a2).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
