Information

A fundraising competition for SSA-B's Scholastican Involvement and Community Outreach Program (SICOP) various projects and activities. 70% of the collected registration fees will fund SSA's SICOP Medical Mission, and future activities.

Competitor or guardian must agree that the organizers, PCA, and WCA shall not be liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss resulting from your participation of this event.

There is a competitor limit of 60 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is ₱350 (Philippine Peso).
Registration fees won't be refunded under any circumstance.
If you are a registered competitor you may change your registered events until on the Register tab.
On the spot registrations will be accepted with a base registration fee of ₱450 (Philippine Peso).

Registration/Refunds
● To cancel registration, please email negroscubers.organizing@gmail.com. Refunds for registration fees won't be entertained under any circumstances.

Adding/Dropping Events
● Competitors may request (by email) to add more events until January 25. Payment for additional events will be collected during the registration of the competition proper.
● Competitors may request (by email) to remove events from their registration at any point. It is also acceptable to not show up for any event you do not wish to compete in.

Please send a SCREENSHOT of your receipt and VALID ID (for first timers) via the Bacolod Speedcubing Rush 2023 page. Please include in your message the following: participant's name, amount paid, contact number, and categories you are participating.

NOTE: Please follow the registration and payment instructions. If the instructions are not properly followed, your registration will not be approved. You are eligible for changes to events you wish to compete in until January 22 when registration ends.

All Competitors
● Please wear your face masks and practice social distancing all throughout the event venue. It is very encouraged to bring your own hand sanitizers and to regularly sanitize.
● Before the competition starts, your name will be called and you will be given a grouping/officiating card which indicates when you will be needed to judge, scramble, and participate in your chosen event.
● You are required to bring your own pen and stopwatch (the timer app on your smartphone will do) to avoid contact with surfaces for officiating/judging purposes. As per WCA Regulation 1e2, you are obliged to officiate/judge upon being called. Failure in doing such duties will result in your disqualification from the competition at the discretion of a WCA delegate.
● The Certificate of Participation will be given at the end of the event along with the Award ceremony.

New Competitors
● For first timers, it is highly encouraged to familiarize yourself with the WCA Regulations.
● To accustom yourself even more with how WCA competitions work, you are required to read the WCA First-time Competitor Guide and/or watch this Competitor Tutorial by WCA Senior Delegate, Kit Clement.

● If you are still confused as to what the procedures are, there will be a live demonstration/tutorial before the competition starts.
● Have fun and don't hesitate to ask questions to the Delegate and Event Organizers.

Guidelines:
1. The competitors must be officially registered in Bacolod Speedcubing Rush 2023.
2. A team must be composed of only three (3) competitors. The speed level of the competitors may vary.
3. The competitors may choose whoever they want to team up with.
4. Only eight (8) teams will be officially participating in this event.
5. No additional fees will be charged when participating in this event.

Registration:
1. A Google Form Link will be posted via the Bacolod Speedcubing Rush 2023 Facebook page for pre-registration on January 9, 2023.
2. The competing teams must register via the Google Forms.
3. A confirmation email will be sent to all the team members once their registration for the event is approved.
4. On the day of the competition, the competing teams must go to the Registration Table to check their team number, team members, and confirm their registration.
5. Registrations will also be accepted on the day of the competition provided there are still remaining slots for the teams.

Mechanics:
1. The Top 20 competitors in 3x3x3 for Bacolod Speedcubing Rush 2023 are not allowed to participate in the relay. This is to give more chances for others to participate. If they pre-registered, their registration will be revoked and the team must look for a replacement for the spot.
2. The Team Relay Event will be using a Single Elimination system to determine the winner.
3. The team members will solve the cubes one after the other. Their time will be added. The team with the fastest accumulated time will be the declared as the winner.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
