Registration Fee:
There is a $15 Registration Fee, payable through the WCA Stripe payment system. Your registration will not be confirmed (moved from the waiting list) until the payment has been completed. Please note that even after the payment, registrations need to be manually approved before appearing on the registration list.

There is a limit of 100 competitors for this event. Please register as soon as possible. Registration closes on at the end of the day on July 3rd PDT. We will grant 50% refunds to those who wish to cancel before July 3rd, but no refunds will be granted after that date.

This competition is recognized as an official World Cube Association competition. Therefore, all competitors shoud be familiar with the WCA regulations. If you are new to competing, you may want to look at CubingUSA's Competitor Tutorial.

Venue, Travel, and Accomodations Information

Cubing with the Duck 2017 will take place in Eugene, OR in the Erb Memorial Union (EMU) building on the campus of the University of Oregon. The EMU is located in the heart of the campus and is the center for student activities and involvement. It has several event rooms and a wide variety of restaurants (Starbucks, Joe's Burgers, Chipotle, Subway, Panda Express, Red Wagon Ice Cream, Fresh Marketplace, Townsheds Tea, Starbucks). The event will be held in the Redwood Auditorium, located in the room labeled EMU 214 on the second floor.

The Redwood auditorium will not have tables available for practicing, as seating is theater style. However, located just outside of the room, there are plenty of tables where you can take a break and practice while you wait for the next event.

Lodging
There are many lodging options available near the University of Oregon campus. The three that are recommended for their location and accomodations are Best Western New Oregon, Days Inn, and Phoenix Inn.

#Getting to Eugene, OR

By Air
Eugene International Airport is a 25-minute taxi ride from the University of Oregon.

By Car
To reach the University of Oregon campus from I-5, take exit 194B. There are signs leading to the campus from there.

*By Bus *
The Eugene Greyhound station is conviently located a short 20-minute walk from the University of Oregon campus.

Parking
Campus Map
Parking on campus uses meters. The cheapest and most available parking spots with meters are conveniently located just south of the EMU in front of Esslinger and MacCarthur Court (E3 and E4 on the map). Free parking is available on the weekend just off of campus south of Pioneer Cemetary, along 18th Avenue and the adjacent side streets (B1-F1 on the map). There are signs on the street that say "2-hour parking Mon-Fri", but there is no time limit on the weekends.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
