REGISTRATION
Q. What is the last date for registration?
A. The last date for registration is 17 October 2018.

Q. Can I register on WCA and pay at the venue?
A. Registration and payment should be made on or before 17th October 2018 only. Payment made after that will not be accepted.

Q. What is the fee for spot registration?
A. There is no Spot registration for this competition.

Q. I registered for the competition on WCA but I cannot see my name on the list of competitors. Why?
A. All participants who register and make the payment will find their name on the list of competitors within 48 hours after the payment is made. If your name is not present please check if you have registered for the competition in "Competitions" tab on the WCA website and have also made the necessary payment.

Q. What is the mode of payment?

Q. Can I make payment through debit card, credit card, internet banking or cash deposit in bank?
A. You may use a convenient mode of payment from the options given in the payment tab.
Cash deposits in bank will not be accepted.

Q. What are the rules for the competition?

PARTICIPATION
Q. What is my WCA id?
A. First time participants – WCA will give you an id after the completion of the competition which you will have to use in all subsequent competitions.
Other participants – You should use your WCA id that you have already received during your first competition only.

Q. How many solves will I get?
A. Participants will get 2 solves to meet the cut-off. If the cut-off is met participant will get an additional 3 solves.

Q. Do I bring my own cubes or will cubes be provided?
A. Participants should bring their own cubes and submit it when asked for before the start of the event.

Q. What are cutoff and time limit?
A. Cut-off – Time given to a participant to determine if they can be given 5 solves. If the participant solves the puzzle within the cut-off in either of his/her first 2 attempts, they will be given a total of 5 solves.
Time Limit – Participants will be stopped from solving the puzzle if they do not meet the ‘Time Limit’ and solve will be a DNF.

Q. What is the role of a volunteer in a WCA competition?
A. A volunteer in a WCA competition helps in judging, running, scrambling, managing, etc.

Q. How do i become a volunteer?

Q. Will a first time participant get a chance to volunteer?
A. Yes. We will guide you through the rules.

RESULTS
Q. How do I know the results?
A. The results of each round can be found on www.cubecomps.com and will be updated during the competition. If your rank is highlighted in 'flurosent green' you have been selected for the next round.

Q. Will accommodation be provided for out station participants?

1. Please ensure you bring sufficient water during the competition to remain hydrated.
2. The pantry at Tiny Tails is good. We believe your palate will be satisfied with the options.
3. Please ensure that the venue remains clean. Use the dust bins!
4. Timing of each solve is verified ‘thrice’ before they are submitted to WCA. Corrections that missed our verification can be made at any time before the end of the competition as scores are submitted within 24 hours by WCA delegates from India.
5. Photography/Videography will not be allowed by parents/relatives/friends/other participants within the competition area. Only the allorted volunteers can help you with capturing photos/videos.
6. Participants can record their own solves using a *
tripod** provided it does not create any hindrance in organizing the competition.

The directions for the venue can be viewed here. Closest Metro station to the venue is the JP Nagar Metro Station (green line, towards Yelachenahalli). If coming by air, The closest Metro station to the airport is the Baiyappanahalli Metro Station (purple line, you will have to change the line at the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda/ Majestic Metro station) The closest Metro Stations to the railaway Stations(Majestic, Yeshwanthpur, Krishnarajapuram, City Railway station respectively) are Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station, Yeshwanthpur Metro Station, Baiyappanahalli Metro Station, Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Metro Station.

There are a lot of eateries and restaurants near by. For example : McDonald's (in same bilding of the venue), Skyline Pizeria, Onesta, Sattvam, Barbecue Nation, etc.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).
