Cameron Stollery in Melbourne Winter 2012

According to this video : [url:cvll5fue]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hh-_7Zpscc[/url:cvll5fue] The first solve is clearly DNF (article A6e). At this high level, I think we should be fair and follow regulations.

I allow myself to post in that thread since none answered. I assume that is because none want to break Cameron's joy. And I don't post with that goal, but still, it shock me, especially when we know he already had an incident in that event in world championships. When you claim trying to break the world record, you should at least be aware of regulations and respect them. The judge should clearly have put a DNF to Cameron for the first solve (even if he wanted him to break a record), and even after he doesn't, the honestly for Cameron would have been to tell him by himself that it was. So, even though it's bad for Cameron, I hope it will be change, as it was for the WC results, in order to have a ranking entirely done with the same fairness.

I do not regularly check this forum, so I had not seen this video. I would suggest changing the first solve to DNF. It is a clear violation of the WCA regulations.

I suggest you to e-mail to board [at] worldcubeassociation.org or the delegate in charge instead of this forum that not regularly checked.

I agree with Bob: people should learn to respect the regulations! I also agree with ardianto: If you want to contact the board (if you want to provide video evidence this is obviously what you want to do) then juist contact it directly and don't try to address somewhere where they just sometimes look by.

I already sent a mail at results @ w o r l d c u b e a s s o c i a t i o n . org

Ok, but this is clearly the wrong address. The results team is posting results, but cannot change them due to video evidence. This is just within the board's power. So you need to mail the board. I don't intent to blame you, I just want to show you how to achieve what you want, because the reaction time in this forum is of course unsatisfying.

[quote="wca website":2oengf41]WCA Results Team (competition results,[b:2oengf41] CORRECTIONS[/b:2oengf41]) Tim Reynolds, Lars Vandenbergh, Bob Burton, Tyson Mao, Jeremy Fleischmann, Baiqiang Dong, Ron van Bruchem[/quote:2oengf41] Does that mean they don't really have the power of correcting results ? Since Tyson and Ron are in both teams and that the descriptions displayed are incomplete, I thought this address were the most suitable one. I think one should add something to the following description : [quote:2oengf41]WCA Board (WCA organisation, delegate reports, competition approval) Ron van Bruchem, Tyson Mao, Masayuki Akimoto[/quote:2oengf41] Maybe something like : WCA Board (WCA organisation, delegate reports, competition approval, media analysis) EDIT : I've sent a new e-mail to the right address.

There will eventually be a place where all this information is made clear, but any incidents regarding the regulations should be sent to the WRC (wrc@ same domain), as well as the Board.
