The WCA Board (currently acting as Leader of the WCA Marketing Team) is asking for WMT membership applications with the primary task of handling the distribution of WCA Competition Gear. The responsibilities of these team members will be to receive equipment orders, re-pack the equipment for international shipping, and make routine trips to the post office.
Applicants must be based within the United States for this unique position. Otherwise, the applications are open to everyone; it is not a requirement to hold a current position within the WCA to be considered.
The qualities expected of candidates are:
- Ability to accept packages sent to a US address
- Ability to make routine (several times per month) drop-offs to a local post office
- Communication skills
The application period is opened for candidates to submit their candidacy documents, which will be accepted on a rolling basis until all three available positions are filled. Applications should be sent privately to the WCA Board (email@example.com).
The candidacy documents must be in PDF format, and must include:
- Brief personal introduction
- Summary of activities done for the WCA
- Ambitions as a member of the WCA Marketing Team
Upon receipt, it will be confirmed if the documents are in good order or if there are deficiencies.
The rights and duties of the WMT can be found in WCA Motion 10.2018.1.
After the application period, the WCA Board will make a selection and the new members will be announced once candidates have accepted the positions.
