Yu Jeong-Min from Korea breaks the world record for solving Rubik's Cube. During the Korea Cube Research Club Open 2007 on January 7, he solved 5 Rubik's cubes in an average time of 11.76 seconds. He also solved one Rubik's Cube one-handed in 19.34 seconds.

During the Chattahoochee Spring competition 2006 in USA, American cuber Leyan Lo broke the official WCA record for blindfolded solving of Rubik's 3x3x3 Cube. The new record is 1 minute 28.82 seconds, including memorization.
