Computer Cube as a new event?

Postby HarrisC » Sat Jan 12, 2008 12:24 am

With ryanheise's cube simulator, the computer cubing revolution happened. Now the average is even faster than the real one! Anyways, perhaps may be this could be a new event for competitions? May be Ryan could develop a special version for competition, generating 5 scrambles and keep it the same scrambles for many users. Though, the problem might be the...keyboard/the screen (sometimes the colours are different for different screens) aren't all the same. May be people can bring in their own keyboards and use it as their "cube" :P

And since it's computer, you don't need to worry about the timing and such (it's 10 seconds countdown and the time starts, and it stops right when the cube is solved, so don't need to worry about DNFs, POPs, +2 penalties). Perhaps there's even no need to wait between solves, just do 5 solves in a row, and then another person will go use it.
