¹ In a ‘Combined’ round, you must get a result below the cut-off within your first two attempts to be able to complete an average of five.

Online registration is $30CDN. Registration will open at 7:00PM PST on Monday October 9, 2017 and will close at 7:00PM PST on Sunday October 29, 2017. You must send your payment to complete registration and be added to the list.

If the competitor limit has not been reached, you may register the morning of the competition at a cost of $40CDN. However, we anticipate spots will fill up quickly.

We have coordinated with the Four Seasons Resort Whistler to provide group rate pricing for competitors and families.

Group Rates:
$165 CDN - Deluxe King / Twin Rooms
$225 CDN - Four Seasons Executive Suite / Deluxe Four Seasons Executive Suite

  • Valet parking will be charged at the discounted rate of $10.00 CAD (regularly $45.00) per car, per 24 hours.
  • Complimentary Internet in each guestroom.
  • All reservations must be secured by October 27, 2017.
  • These rates are based on one or two adults per room. A charge of $50.00 per room per night will be assessed for a third adult, plus tax. No additional charge for children under the age of 18 in parents’ room.
  • Rates are subject to all applicable taxes and fees.

Parking:

Valet parking will be available to all competitors at a discounted rate of $10.00 CAD (regularly $45.00) per car, per 24 hours.

Booking:
Individual guests must contact the Reservations Department at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler directly in order
to secure room reservations. Please dial 800-268-6282 and be sure to ask for the Rubik's Cube Championship -
Whistler Room Block. When making reservations, each guest will need provide a valid credit card in order to guarantee
the reservation.

Check-in:
An early check-in time is available (2:00 pm) and check-out time is 11:00 am.

Cancellation Policy:
Room reservations must be guaranteed in the form of full payment for the duration of the stay, including taxes, with a major
credit card. In case of cancellation, a notice of cancellation must be received by the Resort seven (7) days prior to arrival (by
4:00pm local time) for the deposit to be refunded. In the event such notice is not received within the time limit stated, the
deposit is non-refundable.

Late Check-In:

There will be late check-in from 12:45pm - 12:55pm to accomodate for competitors driving up from Vancouver on Saturday morning. Competitors checking-in late will be allowed to compete in all of the afternoon events.

Buses:

For those looking for transportation from Vancouver to Whistler, we recommend Greyhound buses.

If you will be coming from the Vancouver airport (YVR), Pacific Coach's YVR-Whistler SkyLynx may be a better option.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
