For those of you new to cubing, WELCOME!

We wanted to let you know this event is perfectly fine for cubers of ANY age and experience. We just ask you know a couple things before coming to compete...

First, please be familiar with the WCA Regulations, found here:

Of course, those regulations contain a lot of legalese, so we have a video made specifically for new cubers, just to show them the basics of competing. This video will explain most of what any cuber competing for the first time will need to know.

FAQs

Q: Do I use my own cube to compete?
A: YES! You are responsible for your own hardware in order to compete. This means you should bring your own cube.

Q: What is the normal age of competitors at these events?
A: All ages are welcome, but in general competitors are between 10 and 20 years old. Don't let this stop you though, everyone can and should cube!

Q: How do I find results?
A: All results are posted on the WCA page within a week after the competition finishes. However, for the day of competing, go to Cubecomps.com to find information about current events. This is also where you will find information about upcoming rounds of events. Remember, the results are entered by a human so please be patient if you do not see your results immediately.

Q: Are there age divisions?
A: Nope! All competitors compete together.

Q: I want to attend, or I have friends/family who want to attend, but not compete. Do they need to pay as well?
A: No. All spectators are free to view the competition at no cost. There is payment only to compete. But in some cases, venue will be having restriction to allow spectators depending on the competition.

Q: Can I have fun at this event?
A: HECK YES! Cubing is amazing, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the competition!

(Note: The maximum people advancing to next round will be top 75%. So even if it's given 'Top n', the number might reduce depending on the participation count in the round before.)

ao5 - average of 5
bo3 - best of 3
mo3 - mean of 3

Cutoff- Rounds with a cutoff will have an additional best of 2 (best of 1 for 6x6 and 7x7) format where competitors will have 2 attempts to achieve a time under the cutoff. If the comeptitor does then they will be awarded more attempts to compelete the average.
Cumulative Limit(C)- The total time allowed for all attempts combined.
Time Limit - Any attempt in the round exceeding this time will be awarded a DNF. For "WCA" Time limits, it is dependent on the regulations for that event.
The Number of Competitors moving on to the subsequent rounds may change based on if the competition is ahead or behind schedule.

Board a bus travelling to Kelambakkam at the bus stop adjacent to central railway station
Get down at Kelambakkam and board a share auto to reach the campus.

After getting down from Egmore railway station , reach Park railway station through suburban train
Walk to the bus stop near Chennai central railway station by crossing the overbridge
Board a bus travelling to kelambakkam at the bus stop adjacent to central railway station
Get down at Kelambakkam and board a share auto to reach the campus.

If you are planning to reach Chennai by bus from north
Board a bus travelling to Kelambakkam at the bus stop adjacent to central railway station
Get down at Kelambakkam and board a share auto to reach the campus.

Get down at koyambedu(last stop).After reaching koyambedu(CMBT) , board the bus to Tambaram.
You can board the buses traveling to Thiruporur or Mamallapuram which will drop you right at the campus

If you are planning to reach Chennai by bus from south, get down at Vandaloor Zoo.
