Riga Open is the biggest 1 day speedcubing competition in the Baltic countries.
Next competition will be held on 28 April in Riga. 6 disciplines where you can take part yourself or see Latvian best speedcubers.

The event takes place for 1 days and the participation cost is 5 EUR. If you participate only in 3x3 event, participation is for free.

There is a competitor limit of 110 competitors.
The base registration fee for this competition is €5 (Euro).

Participation fee is 5€ for those who pre-register well in advance on the WCA website. If the competitor limit has been reached, confirmation emails will be sent out about two weeks before the competition. In order to finalize your registration, it is mandatory to follow the instructions noted in the email. Please check your spam folder and have a look at your inbox multiple times before the competition. No on the spot registrations will be accepted.

Mikus Lembergs won with an average of 10.26 seconds in the 3x3x3 Cube event. Imants Liepiņš finished second (10.38) and Vladislavs Baranovs finished third (10.52).

Each competitor must be familiar with and understand the WCA Regulations before the competition. Regulations are available on the WCA website. You can have a look at this video to get a basic overview of the regulations.

The competition will be in the Old town centre where is very expensive parking. Much better if you come by public transport. But if you come from another country, near to Old town are free parkings.

1) Parking at Stargorod restaraunt. Very popular because for free. But police know this parking very well, dont put your car to the grass.

2) Parking at Zelta boulinga un skvoša centrs. Only about 30 minutes to place by foot.

Time limit

If you reach the time limit during your solve, the judge will stop you and your result will be DNF (see Regulation A1a4).

Cutoff

The result to beat to proceed to the second phase of a cutoff round (see Regulation 9g).

Format

The format describes how to determine the ranking of competitors based on their results. The list of allowed formats per event is described in Regulation 9b. See Regulation 9f for a description of each format.
