Nuevos competidores

New Competitors

If you are a new competitor, it is important that you are familiar with the Regulations. The regulations are very long and are quite a lot to take in so don't worry if you don't remember it all! Because of this, we have a video that explains the competing procedure which we recommend to watch before attending: Competing Tutorial. We will also be holding an introduction to competing as per the Schedule which we recommend you attend as well.

New competitors must bring some form of ID to show at the competition to confirm the country they wish to compete for and the date of birth registered with. The usual items of ID that people bring are Passports, Birth Certificates, Driver's Licenses, etc. As long as it has your name, date of birth, and country, then it will be fine.

If you have any questions, we recommend that you check the FAQ in case it has been asked before. But you are more than welcome to contact us at the link on the General Info page.
Information for All Competitors

Please help judge! We rely very heavily on regular competitors to make the competition run to schedule. It is not very difficult to do and you help to do the championship faster!. If you'd like to learn the procedure then we will explain it in a tutorial the saturday before starting.

No flash photography under any circumstance within the venue. It is extremely distracting for competitors.

If you are a spectator, please stay 1.5m away from competitors at all times as per Regulation 7b.

Please treat the venue with respect, put all of your rubbish in bins or black bin bags and keep your area tidy.

There are thousands of puzzles at these events, make sure to keep yours together so you don't lose them!

During blindfolded events, please stay silent within the venue. These events require a high amount of concentration and any noise can be distracting. We will announce when the silence will begin and when you may talk within the venue again.

Lehiakide berriak

Lehiaketan parte hartzen duzun lehen aldia bada, garrantzitsua da araudia ezagutzen joatea. Araudi hau zertxobait zabala da eta informazio asko dago barruan, beraz, ez kezkatu, guztia oroitzen ez baduzu. Hori dela eta, lehiakide gisa lehiaketan parte hartzeko behar dituzun oinarrizko arauak eta prozedurak azaltzeko azalpen bideo hau ikustea aholkatzen dizugu: lehiatzeko tutoriala. Halaber, tutoretza txiki bat egingo dugu ordutegian ezarritakoaren arabera, eta bertara joatea aholkatzen dizuegu.

Lehiakide berriek jatorrizko herrialdea eta jaiotze data egiaztatzen duen nortasun agiria aurkeztu beharko dute. NANa, familia liburua, gidatzeko baimena, etab izan daiteke. Zure izen osoa, jaiotze data eta nazionalitatea soilik behar dira.

Galderarik baduzu, PMF fitxa sakatzera animatzen zaitugu guri galdetu aurretik. Dena den, informazio orokorreko orrialdean agertzen den posta elektroniko batera idaztera ongi etorriak zarete.
Lehiakide guztientzako informazioa

Mesedez, epaile lanetan lagundu! Epaileak berdinak izaten dira beti. Ez da zaila epaile gisa egitea eta txapelketa azkarrago joaten lagunduko duzu! Inskripzioarekin emango zaizkizun agirietan, epaile gisa jardun beharko duzun taldeak agertzen dira, hala ere beste talde batzuetan epaile gisa ere jardunten ahal duzu, nahiz eta zure agirian ez agertu. Epaile nola izan ikasi nahi baduzu, larunbatean tutoretza txiki bat egongo da lehiaketa abiarazi aurretik.

Argazkiak flash gabe. Arau hau lehiaketaren esparru osoan ezarriko da, lehiakideak asko distraitzen baidira.

Ikuslea bazara, ez sartu lehiaketa-eremuan eta inolaz ere ez hurbildu lehiaketa mahai batera 1,5 metroko aldea gutxienez utzi gabe (Regulation 7b).

Mesedez, eremua zaindu, eta zonaldea garbia eta jasota mantendu.

Milaka puzzle daude txapelketa hauetan, ez ahaztu kuboak nahasketa edo lehiaketa mahaietan. Mantendu zure puzzleak elkarrekin, ez galtzeko!

Proba itsuetan, erabat isilk egon behar zara. Proba hauek kontzentrazio handia exijitzen dute eta zarata txikiena lehiakidea atsekabetzen ahal du. Froga hau noiz hasten den eta noiz amaitzen den iragarriko dugu ikusleak jakinarazteko noiz hitz egiten ahal duten eta noiz ixildu behar diren.

P: ¿Cómo me registro?

P: Ya no puedo asistir, ¿qué debo hacer?
R:

English

Q: How do I register?
A:
First you need to make sure you have created a WCA account. You can do this by going to the sign-up page and creating an account. Once you have created the account and confirmed your email address, go to the Register section and follow the instructions carefully.

Q: Why am I not on the registration list yet?
A:
Please make sure that you have followed the instructions in the Register section. You could also be on the waiting list. The competitor limit can be found on the General Info page, and you can see the number on accepted competitors on the Competitors page. If you have done everything correctly and the competition is not full then just be patient. We have to manually approve registrations and the organisers aren't available all the time. If you believe you have followed the steps correctly but still are not on the registration list after 2 days, then feel free to email us at the contact link on the General Info page.

Q: Can I change the events I am registered for?
A:
As long as registration is still open, yes you are allowed to change events. Email us with the events you would like to change. If registration is closed then please do not email us with event changes. If at the competition you decide that you do not want to compete in an event, come up to the scramble table when your group is called and simply tell one of the Delegates that you are not going to compete.

Q: I am no longer able to attend, what do I do?
A:
The first thing you need to do is tell us as soon as you know via the contact link on the General Info page. Competitions generally fill up quite quickly and letting us know that you can't attend means we can add someone from the waiting list. We cannot offer refunds if you can no longer attend as paying the registration fee is a commitment contract.

Q: How fast do I have to be to compete?
A:
We recommend that you check out the Schedule tab - if you can make the time limit for the events you want to compete in, then you're fast enough! Loads of people come to competitions just to beat their own personal bests, and meet likeminded people, with no intention of winning or even making it past the first round.

Q: Are there different age categories?
A:
All competitors compete on the same level and all ages are welcome. In general most are aged 10-20 but we have plenty of regulars who are older or younger than this!

Q: Do I use my own cubes to compete?
A:
Yes! Make sure to bring cubes for all events you are competing in and look after them, you don't want them to go missing.

Q: Can I come only to spectate?
A:
Yes! Spectating this competition will be free for everyone. Take a look at the schedule to come to see the events you are more interested in or to know when the finals are happening.

Q: When do I arrive at the competition?
A:
We recommend you to register on the time frames dedicated to that regard, which you can find on the Schedule tab. If you are a new competitor, we highly recommend that you show up for the introduction to competing which is held as the first thing on Saturday. Otherwise, we recommend you turn up at least 15 minutes before your first event.

Q: What do I do when I arrive?
A:
The first thing you do when you arrive is find the registration desk if registration is open. If there is nobody present at the registration desk then find a staff member and we will make sure to register you.

Q: When can I leave the competition?
A:
It's only necessary to stay when you have to compete or be a judge/runner/scrambler. You will be given a paper with all your schedules, outside of which you are free to go enjoy the city and the gastronomy. The groups will be published on the Groups tab too.

Q: How do I find results?
A:
All the results will be found on this page a couple of days after the competition, once they have all been checked and uploaded. Also on the website www.cubecomps.com

G: Nola erregistratu?
E:
Lehenik eta behin, WCA kontu bat sortu duzula ziurtatu behar duzu. Hala ez bada, "erregistratu"-n klik eginez kontu bat sortu dezakezu. Hori egin ondoren, Erregistro fitxara joan eta dagokion urratsak jarraitu.

G: Zergatik ez naiz lehiakide zerrendan agertzen?
E:
Mesedez, ziurtatu “erregistro” fitxan agertzen ziren urrats guztiak jarraitu dituzula. Halaber, itxarote zerrendan izatea ere posible da. Lehiakideen muga informazio orokorrean eta Lehiakideen zerrendan ikus daiteke. Urrats guztiak ongi jarraitu dituzula ziurtatu baduzu uste baduzu eta oraindik ere zerrendan ez bazara agertzen, pazientzia izan mesedez. Erregistroak eskuz onartzen dira eta Ordezkari eta antolatzaileak ez daude erabilgarri uneoro. Zure erregistroa bi egun igaro ondoren onartu ez bada, bidali ezazu mezu elektroniko bat.

G: Aurkeztu naizen frogak aldatzen al ditut?
E:
Bai, betiere erregistratze aldia irekita egonez gero. Jar zaitez gurekin harremanetan erakundearen posta elektroniko bidez eta esan zein kategoria aldatu nahi dituzun. Erregistro aldia itxita egongo balitz, ez bidali kategoriak aldatzeko eskaera. Lehiaketa egunean erabakitzen baduzu edozein kategorian parte hartuko ez duzula, besterik gabe nahasketa mahira joan eta Ordezkariari jakin arazi parte hartuko ez duzula.

G: Ezin naiz lehiaketara joan, zer egin behar dut?
E:
Lehenengo, posta elektroniko bidez jakin arazi lehiaketara ez zarela etorriko jakin bezain laster, beste lehiakide batek zure lekua hartzeko. Ezin dugu itzulketarik eskeini inskripzioaren ordainketa konpromiso kontratua ordaintzen denetik.

G: Lehiatu ahal izateko azkar adina naizen jakin nahi dut.
E:
Ordutegi taulak begiratzeko aholkatzen dizugu froga bakoitzaren denbora limiteei buruz informatzeko. Jende gehienak lehiaketetara doa haien zaletasuna partekatzen duten beste pertsona batzuk ezagutzeko, denborak kontuan hartu gabe edota haien marka pertsonalak hobetzera, mundu guztia parte hartzeko eta ongi pasatzeko gai da!

G: Badira adin desberdinetako kategoriak?
E:
Lehiakide guztiek baldintza berdinetan parte hartzen dute eta adin guztietako parte-hartzaileak ongi etorriak dira. Jende gehienak 15-20 urte ditu, baina gazteagoak eta zaharragoak ere badira.

G: Nire kuboak erabili behar ditut lehiatzeko?
E:
Bai! Ziurtatu parte hartuko dituzun froga guztientzako puzzleak ekartzen dituzula eta mesedez kontuan ibili horiek ez galtzeko.

G: Ikusle gisa soilik joan naiteke?
E:
Bai, gainera, sarrera guztiz doakoa da ikusleentzat. Begiratu txapelketaren ordutegia eta zatoz nahi dituzun frogak ikustera edota finalen datak ikustera.

G: Noiz ailegatu behar naiz txapelketara?
E:
Ordutegian esleitzen diren matrikula epeetan erregistratzeko gomendatzen dizugu. Lehiakide berri bat bazara, larunbatean hasiko dugun lehiaketako tutorialera joateko gomendatzen dizugu. Hala ez bada, parte hartuko dzun frogaren lehen txanda baino 15 minutu lehenago joan behar zara gutxienez.

G: Zer egin behar dut iristen naizenean?
E:
Lehenengo, matrikula mahaian joan behar zara inskripzio opariak eta akreditazioa lortzeko. Mahaian inor ez badago, bilatu langile alkandorarekin doan norbait laguntza eskatzeko.

G: Txapelketa osoan zehar egon behar al dut?
E:
Epaile / korridore / nahastailea edo lehiatu behar duzunean soilk da beharrezkoa bertan egotea. Erregistratzean zure ordutegi guztiekin paper batzuk emango zaizkizu, zure denbora librean, hiria eta gastronomia gozatzeko aukera izango duzu. Taldeak ere “Taldeak” fitxan argitaratuko dira.

Q: Non ikusten ditut emaitzak eta hurrengo txandara pasatu naizen ala ez?
A:
Lehiaketaren orduak eta sailkapenak web honetara igoko dira lehiaketa izan eta egun batzuk geroago. Zuzeneko emaitzak daukazue hemen: www.cubecomps.com
